These volumes contain indexes and summaries of contemporary radio and television programs recorded on behalf of the Royal Commission by the Monitoring Services Branch, Premier’s Department. Such programs, including current affairs, news bulletins, interviews and talk-back programs were concerned with issues surrounding the illicit drug trade, use of narcotics and the Commission itself.

Indexes to recorded programs include the tape number, the date the program was broadcast, and a brief description of the program. Volumes concerned with radio broadcasts also include transcriptions of the program.

This series was originally part of the series known as NRS-1629 "Miscellaneous Records".
