The photographs of the Berembred Weir show the Weir prior to operations, general views, the construction phase, the regulator, and the completed Weir including particular construction features. There are two photographs of the Engineer's Residence which later became the Caretaker's Cottage. The volume contains two views of the Wollongong Dam during construction.Most of the photographs are dated and each is captioned. Custody History This record was handed to the Archives Authority of NSW on 11 June 1968 by the Bradfield family. This volume is comprised of black and white photographs of the various stages of construction of the Cataract Dam, Wollongong Dam, and Berembed Weir.

At the commencement is a commemorative photograph entitled 'Cataract Dam, New South Wales 1902 - 1907' showing a view of the Cataract Dam with the busts of the Secretary for Public Works, the Chief Engineer, the Supervising Engineer, the Resident Engineer and the Contractors. Other photographs of the Cataract Dam include area views prior to construction and sundry views taken during construction, the completed dam and various features of the construction.

There are two views of the Newrybar Swamp Dam.
