Full description

This volume consists of reports of the annual inspections of the Riley Street School. The reports include the name of the Inspector, the school name, the dates of the inspections and the names and designations of the staff. The major section of the report consists of observations of the management of the school including the classification of pupils, the program of tests and examinations including the recording of results, the adequacy of the school premises and equipment, social and charitable activities, parents' involvement, the atmosphere of the school and the values it inculcates in the pupils. The school's relative strengths and weaknesses in academic and social skills are evaluated and there are notes on the physical education program.

Some reports are handwritten into the volume but most are carbon copies of reports the original of which was presumably maintained by the Inspector.
