Full description
These forms record the name and address of the applicant, the wholesale dealer, and the manufacturer; the brand name of the food or medicine, its prescription or composition; the claims made for it, and the directions for its use. The application is printed, and takes the form of a statutory declaration. According to the Stock Foods and Medicines Act, 1940, it must be renewed annually. This series thus reveals changes and improvements made over the years in the care and treatment of domesticated animals. The attached correspondence deals mainly with attempts by the Stock Medicines Board to ensure that the applicants keep a uniform standard with respect to the claims they make for their products, and to the directions for use.
