This series contains the claimant's application form, the Police or District Officer's Report regarding the claim, a copy of the letter advising the applicant whether the claim has been approved, and associated papers. Included are a number of "RML" files which relate to Ministerial representations made in respect of applications for assistance.

To demonstrate this particular function, a sample only of this series has been retained.
