This volume consists of letter press Copies of Letters Sent, with an alphabetical index at the front of the volume listing names and page number of correspondence, mainly from the Executive Commissioner Patrick Jennings, with some from the Secretary Augustus Morris, and the Clerk to the Committee of Judging and Awards, H. Blachman, as sent to officials and private individuals. The letters are concerned with the distribution of diplomas and medals to exhibitors, lists of awards, appointment of judges and foreign Commissioners, resolutions of the Committee on judging and awards, decisions of the Committee of Appeals, lists of paintings from Britain, Austria, and Germany, and orders and passes to allow entry of various persons to the grounds of the Garden Palace.
