The set of five first day covers dated September 1980 commemorate the anniversary of 125 years of rail service in New South Wales.

The first day covers for November 1981 commemorate the 'Sydney Terminal Station Restoration, 28 November 1981'. (There are four (4) white envelopes, each with a 24 cent stamp and post marked; and one (1) blue envelope stamped with 'postage paid Australia').
