These are duplicate copies of certificates entitling the bearer to be employed under the Emergency Relief Work Scheme. Details given are: classification of person seeking employment, fortnightly working hours, fortnightly earnings and signature of applicant. These certificates were issued by the Department of Labour and Industry, the original to be presented by the unemployed person to the local Council after being endorsed at the local Police Station.
