Full description

The volumes are arranged alphabetically by the names of chemists. Each entry gives: name, residence, qualifications and remarks.

There are many strike-outs and annotations recording amended information, deaths etc.

The Register was kept under section 13 of the Sale and Use of Poisons Act 1876 (40 Vic. Act No.9) which received assent on 21 August 1876. The Register was to be published annually in January in the New South Wales Government Gazette. (1)
