These files, which bear a "P" prefix, contain correspondence and papers relating to the management and administration of national parks and historic sites throughout New South Wales. Some of the correspondence and information dates back to the 1920s.
Files relate to: demolition and proposed use of shelters and huts in national parks; work programmes in parks; policy and major management matters re use of facilities and development of park areas and historic sites; management plans for park areas and historic sites; major financial details; minutes of various committees; fire reports; rangers' reports (including seasonal rangers' reports); publicity; publications; major representation files; major staffing matters; control of noxious weeds; plant growth (burn offs); and culling and control of native and introduced animals (eg. dingos, kangaroos and rabbits). Examples of files relating to the following matters have also been kept: complaint files; licensed operations and activities within park areas; major road and maintenance matters; requests for use of buildings in park areas; impounding stray stock; general equipment files; garbage collection; toilet facilities and water supply.
