The quantitative and qualitative data were collected in 2010 and 2011 through online surveys or hard copy questionnaires and included questions on deployment history, current health, and deployment experiences relating to the most recent MEAO deployment. A total of 26239 eligible ADF members were invited to participate and 14032 consented to participate in the study (response rate 53%).
