This time series dataset was collected as a part of the national Australian Lithospheric Architecture Magnetotelluric Project (AusLAMP), a decade-long national MT survey jointly coordinated between government and research organisations through the collaboration of AuScope, Geoscience Australia (GA), state and territory geoscience agencies, universities and other research organisations. The Tasmanian AusLAMP dataset was acquired through co-investment by AuScope, MRT, GA, the Universities of Tasmania and Adelaide and used AuScope funded Earth Data Logger instruments. This dataset contains packed raw time series data from each of the 60 sites over four phases. The locations of stations used to acquire this dataset were determined using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and thus are accurate to within a few metres. This dataset covers the main island of Tasmania plus Flinders Island, but not King Island. Python was used for the generation of the packed raw time series products, which consist of a zip file of the raw instrument data per site (e.g. station_a.zip, station_b.zip,...).This record was harvested by RDA at 2023-03-19T13:00:24.891+11:00 from NCI's Data Catalogue.Data principally acquired and processed by Thomas Ostersen as part of his PhD research undertaken at the University of Tasmania, sponsored by Mineral Resources Tasmania, Geoscience Australia, the University of Adelaide and AuScope. Full description

Long-period magnetotelluric time series data that measure natural magnetic and electric field variations at Earth’s surface were collected at 60 locations spaced throughout Tasmania.

Python was used for the generation of the packed raw time series products, which consist of a zip file of the raw instrument data per site (e.g. station_a.zip, station_b.zip,...).
