This dataset contains broadband magnetotelluric (MT) recordings from the East Antarctic Plateau, collected for deep Earth and Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) investigations. Recording durations range from 1 to 4 weeks per site using Phoenix MTU-5C instruments. Level 3 ModEM files are available.Credit
We express thanks for the support of the Australian Antarctic Division for the logistics of the Denman Terrestrial Campaign (DTC) and the whole DTC team for the massive efforts.Lineage
MT responses were derived from time series screened for source-field and wind noise using a time-frequency analysis (after Peacock et al., 2016), retaining only plane-wave-compliant windows. (Peacock, J. R., and K. Selway (2016), Magnetotelluric investigation of the Vestfold Hills and Rauer Group, East Antarctica, J. Geophys. Res. Solid Earth, 121, 2258–2273, doi:10.1002/2015JB012677). Impedances were computed in EMpower v2.2 with robust remote-reference processing, spanning 0.0016–6000 s; ModEM data files were created for the 0.05–6000 s range used for inversion using MATLAB.Created: 10 07 2026
