The John Neill Greenwood Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of John Neill Greenwood, Professor of Metallurgy and Applied Science at the University of Melbourne from 1924 to 1945, and Research Professor at the same University from 1946 to 1964. The collection was assembled from fragments collected from the Department of Metallurgy, University of Melbourne and Greenwood's secretary. It consists of personal papers, subjects files, talks and addresses, publications, and photographs. The collection documented in the Guide comprises of 15 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into six series. The total collection occupies 5 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was originally produced in paper form in 1987 by the Australian Science Archives Project. It was published online by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in 2004. The records are located at the University of Melbourne Archives. The collection was listed by Gavan McCarthy.Data time period: 1987
