The Ian Jefferys Wood Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Ian Jefferys Wood, Assistant Director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and Head of the Clinical Research Unit in association with the Royal Melbourne Hospital 1945-1963. These cover Wood's publications, autobiography, autoimmune disease files, material relating to Frank Macfarlane Burnet, and photographic and microscopic slides. The collections consists of 223 inventory items, mostly paper files, grouped into nine series. The total collection occupies 217 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was originally produced in paper form in 1987 by the Australian Science Archives Project. It was published online by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in 2004. The records are located in the University of Melbourne Archives. The collection was listed by Gavan McCarthy and Oscar Manhal, index by Miranda Hughes.Data time period: 1987
