Full description The Housing in Victoria website project commenced in 2007 and is ongoing. The project provides, in one place, data on housing and housing affordability at different geographical levels in Victoria. It allows the user to select and compare data from different geographical areas and over time. It continues to develop new housing measures and housing affordability indicators for the website. It annually updates datasets. It is seeking funds to expand the number of municipalities (and suburbs) participating on the website. The website was initiated by the Cities of Melbourne, Yarra, Stonnington and Port Phillip under the Inner Regional Housing Statement and the Inner Melbourne Action Plan. Research for and development of the website was initially funded by a $100,000 grant from the Victorian Department of Planning and Community Development’s Local Area Planning Support Program. This funding is now supplemented by funds from participating councils.
