COSIMA is comprised of a number of university nodes (ANU, UNSW, UTas, UAdelaide) and the major publicly-funded research agencies (Bureau of Meteorology, Australian Antarctic Division and the CSIRO). We are strongly supported by the National Computational Infrastructure and the Australian Research Council. COSIMA goal is to develop ocean and sea ice model configurations. ACCESS is the Australian community climate model. The ocean model components of ACCESS include MOM5.1, with the CICE5 sea ice model and OASIS-MCT coupling. ACCESS-OM2 is designed to be consistent with the full coupled version of ACCESS (to be released shortly as ACCESS-CM2). COSIMA supports ACCESS-OM2 at three resolutions: the standard 1° resolution, and the higher 0.25° and 0.1° resolutions. Each resolution is defined at the Equator, with a tripolar grid in the north and Mercator projection down to 65°S. The entire ACCESS-OM2 suite is available from our OceansAus GitHub repository (currently still in pre-release mode). Details of each model are listed below. ACCESS-OM2-025 ACCESS-OM2-025 is COSIMA’s 1/4° ocean-sea ice model and is currently in the final stages of testing. It uses the MOM5.1 ocean with 0.25° lateral resolution at the Equator, tripolar in the north and Mercator projection down to 65°S, with 50 vertical levels. The sea ice model is CICE5.1, coupled with the OASIS3-MCT coupler. The model is forced with the JRA55-do v1.3 forcing dataset.    &rft.creator=ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science&rft.date=2018&rft.coverage=-180,-80 180,-90 180,90 -180,90 -180,-90&rft_rights=Access to this dataset is free, the users are free to download this dataset and share it with others and adapt it as long as they credit the dataset owners, provide a link to the license, and if changes were made, indicate it clearly and distribute their contributions under the same license as the original, commercial use is not permitted.&rft_rights=Creative Commons - Attribution - Non Commercial - No Derivatives 4.0 International http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/legalcode&rft_subject=Physical Oceanography&rft_subject=EARTH SCIENCES&rft_subject=OCEANOGRAPHY&rft_subject=Climate Change Processes&rft_subject=ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCES&rft_subject=Geophysical Fluid Dynamics&rft_subject=GEOPHYSICS&rft.type=dataset&rft.language=English Access the data

ACCESS-OM2 0.25 degrees ocean model output data for the Consortium for Ocean-Sea Ice Modelling in Australia (COSIMA).

ACCESS-OM2-025

ACCESS-OM2-025 is COSIMA’s 1/4° ocean-sea ice model and is currently in the final stages of testing.
