A small number of papers dated December 1975 also relate to the opposition period rather than the month Fraser was caretaker Prime Minister. The correspondence relates to various matters, including parliamentary handling of key issues such as the 1975-1976 Budget, Senate rejection of supply, the Khemlani Loans Affair and the Queensland electorates of Lilley and Ryan. Several letters reflect the different views on the overall political situation held by some of Fraser's colleagues (e.g. Dr A J Forbes, Ian Macphee, Senator R C Wright) and others. Papers on the relationship between the Commonwealth public service and government, defence policy, minerals and energy policy, North West Shelf gas, Pilkington ACI Ltd and secondary industries in north-west Tasmania are also included in the records.
