Full description
The project provided support to NACRA in terms of field trial design, data collection, and data analysis and interpretation for two seasons of chickpea trials in the Ord River Irrigation Area in Western Australia. The trials aimed to investigate the impacts of residual soil mineral N concentrations and quantities on chickpea nitrogen-fixation and productivity. The trials included research station and on-farm trials. The trial data, e.g., soil mineral nitrogen levels, chickpea biomass production and yield, and tissue nitrogen content, was generated by NACRA (please contact NACRA for access to these data sets). However, the project generated its own data by calculating derived variables, for example quantifying the proportion and quantity of chickpea nitrogen derived from the atmosphere, i.e., biological N-fixation. These derived variables are provided in this dataset.Issued: 08 06 2023
