Full description

Bowral Court of Petty Sessions, within the Berrima Police District, was created on 20 February 1890 under the provisions of s.459 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1883 (46 Vic. No.17). (1)

The records of the Mittagong Court of Petty Sessions were transferred to the Bowral Court of Petty Sessions on 1 July 1941 when the Mittagong Court of Petty Sessions was abolished. (2)

Bowral Court of Petty Sessions was abolished on 31 December 1984, when the Local Courts Act 1982 abolished all Courts of Petty Sessions and replaced these with Local Courts. (3)
