These are writs of execution directing the Sheriff to levy from the goods and chattels of the debtor a sum equal to the amount of a judgment debt and interest. The Sheriff can seize goods and also, where necessary, conduct a sale by auction.

State Records has retained a sample of these records only, to illustrate the functions of the Sheriff's Office.
