Full description Camera trap data package from the Wildlife Observatory of Australia's Wildlife Camera Database. Dataset ID: SA_Bon_Bon_Mammal_monitoring_Taggart_2018_2021_WildObsID_0021. This dataset contains 96 cameras in two grids of 48 cameras, each in an 8x6km grid. Cameras are spaced approx. 1km apart. The northern grid is baited approximately bi-annually and the southern grid is not baited at all. The cameras were established in approx 2016 in conjunction with a planned bettong re-introduction. The intention of the camera grid was to assess if it was actually possible to suppress feral cats and foxes to a meaningful level within an open landscape, such that a reintroduction could be justified. Long story short, the reintroduction never happened but the cameras have continued running continuously since this time. Data accessed via WildObs (https://wildobs.org.au).
