The WISH Project was led by researchers from the University of South Australia's Department of Rural Health (formerly Spencer Gulf Rural Health School) and the University of South Australia's School of Population Health (SPH). The Whyalla Intergenerational Study of Health (WISH) is a study involving approximately 1200 adults and 300 children. The project is specifically designed to estimate the prevalence of chronic disease and associated risk factors in Whyalla, South Australia. It highlights health-priority areas where the Whyalla Community is doing well and where knowledge and strategies still need to be developed to improve health and wellbeing across the community.
