Brief description
Data is in the form of a report, which is a secured (printable, non-editable), searchable, Portable Document Format (PDF) showing the results of the analyses. The objective of the WAMSI DREDGING SCIENCE NODE Project 4.1 was to critically review/evaluate the existing scientific literature on the effects of sediments on corals based on a contemporary understanding of the water quality conditions that can occur during dredging, from WAMSI DREDGING SCIENCE NODE Project 4.1. The reviews accessed information in the published literature (as identified in searches of standard databases such as ISI Web of Knowledge) and grey material. The review also examine all literature cited during the EIS stages of large scale dredging projects and which has been used to develop water quality thresholds for impact prediction. Data used in some of the analyses in the review was from in situ water quality instrumentation from 3 large scale capital dredging projects (Federal Ministerial Approval Statements MS757, MS800, MS840 - searchable on the WA EPA website: http://www.epa.wa.gov.au).Lineage
