VPRS 20234 Metro Tunnel Rail Project Early Works - As-Built Drawings

This series contains the As-Built drawings that were used in completion of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Rail Project Early Works project and were provided to the Department of Transport and Planning for Rail Transport Operators to utilise for maintenance and operation purposes. 

The drawings document the As-Built conditions of the areas and locations impacted by the project.

Information recorded against each drawing can include the project discipline, design package, company that provided the drawing, geographic or project area, and drawing number.

The Early Works project phase focused on preparing for the commencement of the main tunnel and stations works. Early works included utility service relocation and works to prepare construction sites.

The Metro Tunnel Project involved construction of twin nine-kilometre rail tunnels throughout the Melbourne central business district from South Kensington to South Yarra with five new underground stations along the route.
