VPRS 12943 General Subject Correspondence Files, Annual Single Number System

Full description

Series comprises the general correspondence files of the Centenary of Federation Victoria (CFV). The Series was created by the office of the CFV which was the administrative body of the Centenary of Federation Victoria Committee. The files were created by the office as an outcome of their function to manage, develop and implement the Victorian Government's program for the celebration of the Centenary of Federation in 2001.

The records are general subject correspondence files which range in subject from Committee Minutes and Papers, Sub Committee Papers, Ministerial Briefing Papers, special project and events files (e.g. 9 May 2001 - Commonwealth Parliament Involvement), marketing and publicity (e.g. Branding and Merchandising), relations with other agencies and organisations, Commonwealth issues, administration (e.g. business planning), strategic planning, corporate support, and communications.

Included in the files is printed material produced by CFV to promote particular events, see the relevant Event and Project File. If the printed material is too bulky for storage in the files it was kept separately, e.g. the invitation for A Nation United the 9 May 2001 event celebrating the centenary of the opening of the first Commonwealth Parliament. The P2 consignment was transferred from Arts Victoria in November 2002.
P3 consignment was transferred from the Department of Premier and Cabinet in July 2003.
