EstablishmentThe Victorian State Government established the Centenary of Federation Victoria in October 1997.
Function
The Centenary of Federation Victoria Committee was a non-statutory body responsible for developing and implementing a calendar of events and projects throughout Victoria to ensure that all Victorians had the opportunity to commemorate and celebrate the Centenary of Federation and to ensure Victoria's participation in national celebrations.
The Office was responsible for managing, developing and implementing the Victorian Government's program for the celebration of the Centenary of Federation.
Centenary of Federation Victoria was administratively responsible to Arts Victoria and ultimately to the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
At time of registration the Committee was due to wind up on 9 May 2002.
