Full description

The series documented the functions of the Project Management Department, Engineering and Development Branch: the Department was responsible for the management of operations and engineering projects for the Division. This included the planning, co-ordination and managing of projects for which works packages were carried out.

Each Project Manager was responsible for the control of cost and time on each project. He headed a project team formed from the technical or operational departments for each project. The Project Manager was the point of contact for all aspects of his project from within the Transport Operations Division (of the State Transport Authority) until 1989 and since then the Infrastructure Division (of the Public Transport Corporation).

The files contain correspondence, internal memorandums and architectural drawings.
