Full description

The Victorian Government Advertising Unit (Ad-Vic) was a branch established within the Department of Property and Services (VA 430) in April 1988. It was more commonly known as Ad-Vic rather than by its full title. The Media Advertising Services Group of the Victorian Government Printing Office was officially transferred to the new unit from July 1988.

The function of Ad-Vic was to provide advertising, marketing and communications consulting to Victorian government bodies and to manage the purchase and placement of advertising in both print and electronic media.
