Data description: The Vis-NIRS spectra of authentic and 'counterfeit' lipsticks dataset was collected using a FOSS XDS Rapid Content Analyzer with XDS near-infrared technology (FOSS Analytical, Hilleroed, Denmark), coupled with ISIscan™ software (FOSS Analytical) from Instituto de Investigación Vitivinícola y Agroalimentaria (IVAGRO), Cádiz, Spain in March-May2025.
