Variation in mangrove geometric traits among genera and climate zones

Research Project

Full description To understand how mangroves can protect coastlines in various regions, accurate information on genus-specific geometry is crucial for coastal engineering models. This study examined 28 mangrove genera across different climates, assessing their root, trunk and canopy height, width, and densities. By identifying variations in geometric characteristics among genera and climate zones, we can gain insights into the coastal protection functions of mangrove communities. This research provides valuable data for enhancing the accuracy of mangrove-based coastal defence models.
