Full description More than 80,000 Australians are affected by Parkinson's disease (PD), a progressive neurological disorder. There is a pressing need to develop reliable, easy-to-access biomarkers for early diagnosis of PD to enable effective treatment. This project aims to leverage cutting-edge technology to generate ‘molecular signatures’ of dysfunctional proteins that are unique in blood cells from individuals with PD, enabling translation for a blood test aiding in early PD diagnosis and drug evaluation.
