Use of seasonal forecasting to manage weather risk in ecological restoration

Research Project

Full description The project determines the need for better recognition and management of weather risk in restoration. Using restoration case studies across Australia, it assesses the ability of seasonal forecasts to detect unfavourable weather with sufficient skill and lead time to be useful for restoration projects. It also explores the challenges associated with uptake of forecast products through consultation with restoration practitioners and develops a prototype forecast product using a local case study.
