Urban food problems, such as surging food prices and food insecurity issues, are increasingly manifest in urban areas across the globe both in the Global North and Global South.  Many developed countries, such as the USA, Canada, and the UK, have developed various food strategies and action plans to address these urban food problems.

This online survey investigates what kind of urban food problems people living in the Brisbane urban area are facing and to what extent. Key questions around urban food problems include food insecurity, food availability, food affordability, food accessibility, food injustice, food-related health, food consumption and retail, food waste, and environmental impacts. Some of the survey questions are also designed to explore if urban food planning is needed in addressing urban food problems.
