Transforming the Study of Australian Literary Cultures through a Collaborative eResearch Environment: Children's Literature Digital Resources Project (CLDR)

Research Project

Researchers: Emeritus Professor Kerry Mallan

Full description Led by Queensland University of Technology, in partnership with The University of Queensland and University of Sydney, the project aims to digitise a selection of early Australian children's literature from Settlement to 1945, alongside relevant secondary materials. The majority of these items have been kindly supplied by National Library of Australia, State Library Victoria, Monash University Library, and other library collections. By 2011, the Children's Literature Digital Resources Project (CLDRP) will deliver a range of digitised primary and secondary texts to support Australian literature teaching and research communities. The project received both ARC LIEF and QUT funding to support the digitisation of early (pre-1945) Australian children's books and some secondary sources, and to make them available as a 'research resource'. A systematic process for seeking copyright permission to digitise has been developed and documented.**Grantor:Australian Research Council**External Ref:LE0989090
