Full description

This dataset contains field measurements of traffic-induced noise pollution [TINP] collected to investigate the acoustic environment experienced by pedestrians in inner-urban Melbourne, Australia.

The dataset was developed as part of research examining receiver-centric traffic-noise annoyance and its effects on pedestrian Walk-Quality. It provides the empirical site-audit observations used to calculate psychoacoustic annoyance [PA], train and test a Random Forest predictive model, and support subsequent spatial modelling of pedestrian noise exposure.
