Brief description

A cleaned, georeferenced pyramidal tif was generated from a spectral qube file showing the Gorgonum region of Mars taken with The Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS). This instrument is on board the Mars Odyssey spacecraft and combines a 5-wavelength visual imaging system with a 10-wavelength infrared imaging system.

Full description

A spectral qube file of the Gorgonum region of Mars, from the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS) instrument onboard the Mars Odyssey spacecraft has been cleaned and corrected, using ISIS v3, for analysis and interpretation. THEMIS combines a 5-wavelength visual imaging system with a 10-wavelength infrared imaging system. These image files are three-dimensional, with two spatial dimensions (samples and lines) and one spectral dimension (band). The output is a pyramidal Tiff and Tiff world (tfw) file, facilitating analysis in GIS software. The collection also includes the original file (.QUB) and processing logs as an audit trail.
