Characterisation
Return to Themed CollectionsCharacterisation is the direct analysis of the structure, chemistry and physical properties of materials. Materials may be soft (tissue, cellular, polymeric) or hard (metals, ceramics, semiconductors). Analysis incorporates imaging, spectroscopy and scattering processes, and includes studies of morphology, dispersion, structure, composition and bonding.
