Research Project
Full description This project will evaluate the impact of forest cover change on biogeophysical climate processes and feedbacks under global warming in northern Australia and Southeast Asia during the 21st century. The project will focus on the biogeophysical role of forests in the energy and water cycle, and their capacity to regulate the regional climate, which is widely accepted as an important oversight because forests enhance moisture recycling, cloud formation and precipitation processes, which stabilise climate and influence weather.
