The initial services designed to deliver the Borehole data were implemented as part of the Bioregional Assessments Information Platform project, a collaborative partnership between Geoscience Australia (GA) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) commissioned by the Office of Water Science (OWS). Through the three partners, this project brings together the Australian Government's leading national environmental informatics research, hydro-geological assessment and water information delivery capabilities. The information contained within this data set has been selected from the GA corporate data with the following business logic applied: a.Security rating of the data is open file b.Only active records are included c.Only Australian Records are included d.A decision was made to exclude any boreholes that had no defined location.
