Full description

This series consists of student academic transcripts from Riverina College of Advanced Education, Riverina Murray Institute of Higher Education and Charles Sturt University. There were a number of offices responsible for these records due to the evolution of the institution, these being the Office of the Registrar (for the Riverina College of Advanced Education and the Riverina Murray Institute of Higher Education) and the Division of the Secretary (for Charles Sturt University).

The academic transcript is an official record of study undertaken at the University. Each course undertaken by a student is recorded on a separate transcript.

A transcript may include the following details relating to the student's personal and enrolment information: name, address, phone number, name of the University course enrolled in, the session they first enrolled in, their student number, and whether they were a full-time, part-time or correspondence student.

The transcript lists each subject attempted by the student during their enrolment in a particular course (including those subjects discontinued after the census date). The subjects are arranged by session and each subject's code and full name, with the student's final grade and the subject's credit points are recorded.

Until 1985, a graduating student's transcript may be filed with an 'Application for Admission to an Award of the College'. This form records the student's name, their enrolled course, the name of the Award, their advisor's name, any other Awards they had previously received, their cumulative grade point average and total grade points, whether the student will receive the College Medal and/or a Distinction.

From 1985, the following statement was included on graduand transcripts: 'This is to certify that the student whose name appears on this transcript has satisfactorily completed all the requirements of the course nominated above; completion date dd/mm/yy'. The award was conferred on dd/mm/yy.

The records are arranged by year of cessation and then divided into graduands and terminated students. If the transcript is not available, other records relating to student results may be included in the file.
