These statistics are fair copies of various returns which were later printed as Parliamentary Papers or in the annual reports of the Immigration Board. The returns are as follows:
      1. Shows for each ship coming to Sydney during 1848, how many migrants came from each county of England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and from other countries.
      2. Shows for each ship coming to Sydney during 1848 the age groups of the migrants from England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and other countries, and how many could read and/or write.
      3. Shows information about religion for the same migrants.
      4. Shows for each ship coming to Sydney in 1848 how many tradesmen came from England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and other countries, and what their trades were.
      5. Shows information similar to (1) for each ship coming to Port Phillip in 1848.
      6. Shows information similar to (2) for each ship coming to Port Phillip in 1848.
      7. Shows information about religion for the same migrants.
