These statistics are fair copies of various returns which were later printed as Parliamentary Papers or in the annual reports of the Immigration Board. The returns are as follows:- Shows for each ship coming to Sydney during 1848, how many migrants came from each county of England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and from other countries.
- Shows for each ship coming to Sydney during 1848 the age groups of the migrants from England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and other countries, and how many could read and/or write.
- Shows information about religion for the same migrants.
- Shows for each ship coming to Sydney in 1848 how many tradesmen came from England and Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and other countries, and what their trades were.
- Shows information similar to (1) for each ship coming to Port Phillip in 1848.
- Shows information similar to (2) for each ship coming to Port Phillip in 1848.
- Shows information about religion for the same migrants.
