Brief description

This data shows the Metropolitan Region as defined in Schedule 1 of the Planning and Environment Regulations 1988. It is the area of application of the State Environment Protection Policy (Control of Noise from Commerce, Industry and Trade) No N-1 (SEPP N-1).



On 1 July 2021, SEPP N-1 was replaced by:



• - Environment Protection Regulations 2021 (the Regulations) and



• - the incorporated Noise Protocol document, Noise limit and assessment protocol for the control of noise from commercial, industrial and trade premises and entertainment venues (EPA publication 1826).
