The SEC Retired Personnel Association was inaugurated at a meeting held on 16 September 1964.According to the constitution, the objects of the association were: to further the interests of former SEC employees; to encourage continued social interaction with former colleagues and to arrange social functions and other activities for members as arranged by the committee from time to time.
The final committee meeting was held 10 May 1995 at Monash House, Melbourne to wind-up the association after 37 years.
