Research Project
Full description The Seaview Survey aims to carry out a rapid assessment of the current state of coral reef systems, and to improve the scale and rate at which coral reef survey data can be collected. The focus is on surveying shallow reefs, located between 0-30 m depth. It uses a custom camera system that is operated by divers to take numerous photographs along a sampling transect, which are typically approximately 2 km long. Background information about the camera and survey program can be found here: http://catlinseaviewsurvey.com.
