Full description This project spans the sciences and the humanities, involving the collaboration of climate scientists, water managers and historians to establish south east Australia's climate record for the last 2000 years. The research team is assembling data from a variety of sources, including -Palaeoclimate records -Documentary records -Early weather data Researchers use information from these sources to reconstruct past rainfall, temperature and atmospheric pressure conditions for the area and time frame mentioned above. Reconstructing past climates in this way is crucial in order to establish a context for viewing and assessing climate change in the 21st century.
