Full description

The data for this study has been collected from the following literature databases in July 2026: ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, Scopus, MDPI, EBSCO, and ProQuest. Given the variation in terminology across domains, I kept the initial database search simple and deliberately broad. The basic query was (automatic OR automated) AND (assessment OR evaluation OR grading OR marking). I used the bulk export feature for each database where available, otherwise went through the query results and exported each result manually using Zotero.
