Full description

This dataset contains outputs from the ReefMod-GBR ecological model, a spatially explicit ecosystem model of the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) that simulates coral and Crown-of-Thorns starfish (COTS) populations. The model was used to explore the effectiveness of different COTS control strategies in preserving coral cover and reducing the frequency and severity of COTS outbreaks across the GBR. The dataset includes a range of ecological outputs for both the counterfactual scenario (no control) and multiple control scenarios, allowing comparisons of their impacts on reef ecosystems. The scenarios include both a hindcast (2008 - 2023) and a forecast (up till 2040).
