Full description This research aims to investigate the lived experiences of women with an adult diagnosis of ADHD, for the purpose of providing a more nuanced and less deficit-focused understanding of the ways in which this diagnosis has impacted the lives of participants. Expected outcomes: The proposed research will contribute to the extant literature by exploring, in detail, the lived experiences of women who have received a diagnosis of ADHD in adulthood. There will be a particular emphasis on identifying and examining the ways in which participants experience ADHD as both a challenge and a strength. It is intended that this study will provide a foundation for additional investigations pertaining to therapeutic approaches that are uniquely suited to support women with an adulthood diagnosis of ADHD.
