The collection includes: several thousand architectural drawings including plans, elevations, and perspectives; some are coloured. Melbourne buildings including sporting facilities, e.g. large group of Melbourne Cricket Ground plans; album of photographic copies of plans Purnell drew in China, including the Shanghai Club; receipt books; brass plates; booklet of drawings for Tsohshaan mansions; correspondence; Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works material; specifications for residences; brochure for building and furnishing products; meeting of the Trustees of the Metropolitan Cricket Ground, 5 July 1933. 49 plan drawers, many rolled drawings, 2 archives boxes.Data time period: 1900 to 1960
